It was a wild Wednesday in the English Premier League, with plenty of goals all over the country today. We saw four matches and 17 scores in total, and a few interesting results.
West Ham Shocks Chelsea
The derby of the day was in London, where West Ham met Chelsea and won against the local rival, 3-2. This was a superb game to see, with plenty of action on both sides, and dynamic football.
Andriy Yarmolenko is the hero of the day among the Hammers’ fans, with the Ukrainian international delivering a game-winner against Chelsea. But not only that. The goal came in the 90th minute, and it pretty much stunned the guests who thought that they have at least one point in their pocket.
After a bit slow opening 20 minutes, West Ham threatened first, with Antonio missing a wonderful chance. West Ham would score one goal after that, but the VAR system showed an offside, which canceled it.

Chelsea responded through Willian in the 42nd minute, with the Brazilian scoring from the penalty, and in the closing moments of the first half, Tomas Soucek leveled the result.
Antonio did score a goal after all, in the 51st minute, turning the game upside down, but Willian once again put his name on the scoresheet. The Brazilian was superb from a free kick in the 72nd minute.
Eventually, Yarmolenko was the one who decided the event, bringing a massive joy for the Hammers’ fans all around London.
With these three points, West Ham ran away from the red zone and is now three points ahead of Aston Villa, and Bournemouth. Chelsea meanwhile is fourth with 54 points two more than Man UTD, and Wolves.
Everton Beats Leicester, Newcastle Trashes Bournemouth
The Toffees scored their two goals in the first 16 minutes, with Richarlison and Sigurdsson hitting the spot. After that, they would keep things under control, and even though Leicester decreased their lead through Iheanacho five minutes after the start of the second halftime, the Foxes couldn’t breach Everton’s defense once more. They are in pretty shaky form right now and are just three points away from the zone, which doesn’t bring a Champions League ticket. Everton is safe in the middle of the table.

The Magpies were magical against Bournemouth, beating the Cherries with 1-4 at the Vitality stadium. Gayle, Longstaff, Almiron, and Lazaro netted for the guests from the north who had a four-goal lead at one point, while on the other side, Dan Gosling saved the honor of the hosts in the fourth minute of the stoppage time.
Bournemouth is still under the red line, and Newcastle approaches the middle.
Aubameyang’s 50th Goal, Arsenal Rolls Over the Canaries
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the player with the fewest games played to score 50 EPL goals in Arsenal’s history. With two hits today, he breached that limit in only 79 games. His Gunners defeated Norwich 4-0, and beside the pacey striker, Xhaka, and Soares also added one goal each. Arsenal is seventh with 46 points, while Norwich sits dead last with 21.
