The biggest potential of the US soccer, Christian Pulisic signed a blockbusting deal today with the English Premier League powerhouse, Chelsea.
This news was revealed earlier today and immediately made huge reactions all over the continent. The deal is worth more than $70 million dollars, and the player himself stated that he feels lucky for committing the future to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
“It’s a privilege to have signed for such a legendary club and I look forward to working hard towards being a contributor to their team of world-class players.” the player said.
His name was linked with many clubs over the past year, but both Borussia and the youngster didn’t want to give the slightest hint about his intentions or plans. Liverpool, Barcelona, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, all of them wished to land the 20-year old.

According to this deal, Pulisic will stay with the Millionaires until the end of the season, and afterward, go to London.
This solution was the best for both Borussia and the American who openly told the officials at the club that wishes not to sign an extension, but to leave after the end of his contract in 2020. Pulisic also said that he doesn’t want to force a way out, refusing to play or anything like it, but is willing to play like a true professional until the last day of his deal.
After hearing this rumor, Chelsea reacted and started negotiating with the German club and the player to find a way to land the flamboyant midfielder at Stamford Bridge.
Borussia’s sporting director Michael Zorc talked to the media today, saying that he fully believes in Pulisic’s intention to give his maximum to the team until the end of this campaign, and help his teammates to win the Bundesliga trophy which has been Bayern Munich’s property for quite some time.
“Christian Pulisic has a flawless character. I am sure he will do all he can in the coming months to contribute his big qualities to the squad and achieve Borussia Dortmund’s sporting goals with his teammates.” Zorc was direct with the reporters.
The player himself confirmed the same, in a statement he wrote to the media and the fans.
for the next six months, it’s all BVB! Please do not doubt my passion, determination and my 110% commitment to the tea, right until the last ball is kicked this season.”
Pulisic was one of the biggest rising stars in Borussia. With just 17 years and 212 days, he became the youngest player who scored in one Bundesliga match and is not from Germany. Tomas Tuchel recognized his potential, and under this manager he played 43 times, scoring 5 goals and setting up 13.
After Tuchel left Pulisic continued playing well, but over the course of time, his role became less and less significant. This season, the majority of his appearances were off the bench, as manager Lucien Favre has other options before him.

However, his youth and talent are rare, which is why all those big clubs wanted him. Chelsea had the luck to take him, which is why many of the pundits believe that the Blues are preparing to sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. Pulisic would be a great substitution for the Belgian superstar, but according to the sources from inside the club, this isn’t the plan.
Instead of replacing Hazard, the management is looking for long-term solutions on Pedro’s and Willian’s positions, as both of them have more than 30 years.
Chelsea needs to strengthen its team, to be competitive in the race for the English Premier League title. It is obvious that Sarri’s team lacks depth in several positions. The most notable is the playmaker, and Pulisic’s addition will solve that issue.
