The UFC featherweight bout between Chan Sung Jung or the Korean Zombie, as many know this guy and Dan Ige, will headline this week’s UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, Nevada. These two guys are very entertaining fighters whose fights often end up filled with highlight reels regardless of the result. Jung has several Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night bonuses, and it appears that Ige will have a similar resume as time goes by. Do not forget to watch this match, and if you want to make some bet, here is the preview with predictions that might be helpful to you.
Preview
Chan Sung Jung (-115) lost against Brian Ortega in the most recent match, after a unanimous decision. It was his first loss following two first-round KO wins he posted against Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar. Though what might be problematic here is the fact that Jung enters the ring only for the second time since late 2019, which could be an issue for the 34-year old.
We don’t need to write too much about his style of fight. The Korean zombie is one of the most loved persons in the UFC organization because of his attractive approach and style. He might be one of the most entertaining punchers in the MMA today because of his ability to knockout with both of his hands.
We’ve seen some of his incredible finishes in the past, which is why he has two Submission of the Night , one Knockout of the Night, two Fight of the Night, and three Performance of the Night bonuses. Plus one Submission of the Year award for beating Leonard Garcia back in 2011.
Dan Ige (-105) was considered to be the next title challenger in this division, yet a loss to Calvin Kattar in July last year disrupted all of his plans. He was bound to challenge Alexander Volkanovski, but that simply didn’t happen.
Like Jung, Ige is a high-intensity fighter who likes to enter the ring and start a brawl. His fantastic chin and extensive cardio allow him to use such an approach, and so far, we haven’t seen a guy who outpowered Ige in those situations.
He was one six-win run before the loss to Kattar, and during that time, he posted triumphs against Edson Barboza, Mirsad Bektic, Kevin Aguilar, etc. the majority of them were via decision, against Barboza and Bektic split decisions, which was the main reason why he didn’t get a shot at the title earlier.
Prediction
If there is one thing we are sure of here, all the fans will enjoy Saturday’s clash. These two have no mercy once things start to unfold. We wouldn’t recommend betting the winner here because this fight could go either way, do know that. Instead, betting on the method of victory to be a KO is the best possible thing with the current odds at +195. You have to admit, it is very tempting, especially with such aggressive guys involved.
Pick: Method of victory KO at+195
