Marseille and Tottenham meet in a clash that decides which team advances to the next stage. All four teams in Group D are in the race, with the Spurs having eight points, Sporting and Eintracht seven, while Marseille sits fourth with six. A win here sends the French unit to the knockout stage, and a draw puts them in a position to await the other results and then see if they can advance to the UEFA Europa League. A win will be the aim for either unit because they can’t and won’t risk anything.
Preview
Marseille (+200) wasted a two-goal lead in Strasbourg this Saturday night, getting just one point on the road following a 2-2 draw. It was the fourth consecutive matchup in which the former European champs didn’t win, but at least they stopped a three-game losing skid.
Something happened with the French unit, which started the year solid, but slowed down over the past month. Losing to PSG on the road, 1-0, was expected, yet at home to Lens, 0-1 in Eintracht, 2-1, is, for sure, unplanned.
Marseille has just one victory at home in the previous five contests, losing three and posting one draw. The triumph was over Sporting 4-1. They allowed at least one hit in six consecutive events at Velodrome.
Tottenham (+130) made a superb comeback in Bournemouth, where they beat the Cherries 2-3, despite falling back two goals. Betancur scored the game-winner in the second minute of the stoppage time, and created massive momentum for the Spurs, which could even be the turning point of the entire year.
Conte has problems with his defense, which conceded in four of the past five events, and can’t provide any consistency whatsoever. The attack is trying to cover up all the mistakes of the back line, but for the moment, the rotation in that part of the team is short, because only Kane and Son aren’t injured.
Until the event in Bournemouth, Tottenham had four games in which we saw moderate efficiency, meaning two or three goals.

Head to Head Games
The opening game in England saw the hosts winning 2-0, but only after Mbemba received the red card at the start of the second half. After that, the Spurs needed almost half an hour to break the rivals, before Richarlison scored twice inside five minutes to stun Marseille and solve the game. We are pretty sure the game wouldn’t end like this if it weren’t for that red card.
Prediction
There is no room for any calculations, and both teams simply have to play with 100% of their power. A win is imperative here, therefore, we expect an open brawl between two teams who have far better attacks than defenses. That’s why we take both teams scoring here with the current odds on that set at -125, which is superb for us. For those who want to take risks and increase profits, add over 2.5 goals to BTTS, and that would be it.
Pick: Both teams to score -125
