The Green Bay Packers and the Tennessee Titans meet in one of the most important games of the season. An outcome in this contest will have massive consequences on the NFC and the AFC’s final standings. While the Packers chase the top spot in the NFC conference, having the New Orleans Saints breathing down their neck, the Titans are in a position to secure the home-field advantage in the opening two postseason appearances, but also, to end up empty-handed. The situation in the AFC is very complicated, and every win is of the utmost value. Therefore, each of Tennessee’s matches is life or death.
Preview
Green Bay Packers (-160) have four wins in a row, but in the last two, they weren’t convincing at all. Against the Panthers, they had a marvelous first half before freezing in the second sequence. And what frightens the fans the most is that such a scenario became frequent this year.
We already saw it against the Indianapolis Colts, and that game ended with Indianapolis’ win. Before that, the Buccaneers used Packs’ blackout to inflict them a humiliating loss. So, even though Matt LeFleur’s side is atop the NFC, we still don’t believe they are legit Super Bowl candidates.
Aaron Rodgers is in the MVP award talks, but unless he pulls out some kind of a miracle, Patrick Mahomes will win that award once again. Though, Rodgers had an excellent year, throwing over 40 touchdowns for the third time, becoming the first person in history with such an achievement.
Tennessee Titans (+140) won four in the last five, and are constantly under pressure due to their AFC South race with the Colts. Arguably one of the most diversified offenses in the league will have to step up and prove its worth tonight because they have a high-octane rival across the field.
Titans didn’t go below 30 points in the last four matches and all that thanks to Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry. As usual, Henry shifts into higher gears as the season approaches its ending. He was under 133 yards once in the latest five events, resulting in Tennessee’s loss against the Browns.
As for Tannehill, he is fantastic. When you need him to run, he is already down the field moving the chains. The Titans need a deep pass; he will deliver it, you need him to change the play, done, read the defense, done, keep the football – done. This guy is the reason why Titans became an elite offense, not Henry.
Prediction
Check this out; the Titans are the No.1 offense in league with 436 points scored so far, one more than the Chiefs and two more than the Packers. The margin for the total number of points is set at 54, and we just have to suggest Over. Check this out; having in mind Packers rushing defense against big names, we might expect at least two TDs from Henry. On the other side, Rodgers is bound to connect at least three times with his receivers. That is already 35 points from two players. Don’t hesitate, bet on over.
