One of the best footballers in European history, and the living legend of the Dutch national team, Ronald Koeman, suffered a heart attack according to sources from the media.
“Ronald Koeman was hospitalized on Sunday evening after chest complaints. He will return home tomorrow. We wish Ronald a lot of strength and improvement,” said in a statement issued by the Dutch football association.
After receiving Koeman, the doctors had to react immediately, and they performed a cardiac catheterization, which for now sort everything out.

The procedure demanded catheter to be put into the blood vessel and brought all the way to the heart and the arteries. The entire operation went without problems, and Koeman is feeling stable and is resting at the moment.
“He will need a few days rest, hopefully, it will be respected,” stated one of the people form his management company.
What is the biggest fortune in this unpleasant situation is the incredibly fast reaction of the medics and their composure. If it weren’t for that, the coach of the national team probably wouldn’t be alive, according to his wife, Bartina.
“The speed with which he was taken to the hospital and the quick intervention of the doctors allowed his condition to be stabilized,” she said.
Koeman is one of the most successful and biggest names in football. He brought Barcelona its first European title, back in 1992, with an extra-time goal against Sampdoria in the finals.
He was an integral part of Blaugrana’s fantastic team which won four straight La Liga titles, and six more trophies. Koeman was Johan Cruyff’s heart and soul on the field, and the creator of the entire Barcelona’s philosophy of football stated on numerous occasions that his most trusted player was the fantastic defensive midfielder.
Apart from that, he has one more European title, with PSV Eindhoven in 1988, After playing for a while in Ajax he took off, and signed for their biggest enemies, which turned out to be a superb decision.
Koeman was also a member of the 1988 Dutch team that won the European championship, beating the USSR in the finals.
As a manager, his trophy collection continued to grow. He won titles with both Ajax and PSV, same as during the playing days, Supercup in Portugal with Benfica, Cup in Spain with Valencia, and the Dutch Cup with AZ.
Right now, he is the coach of the Dutch national team, with whom he reached the finals of the UEFA Nations League last year and lost against the hosts Portugal. After two years since his country failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia, Koeman brought back the morale and the confidence of both the fans and the players, building one of the favorites for capturing the title at the upcoming EURO.
Oranje is among the top four candidates for winning that tournament, and that is mostly because of Koeman. Hopefully, this is not going to affect his plans for continuing to lead the team. Otherwise, it would be a major blow for the entire FA.
The entire WagerBop.com crew hopes to see Mr. Koeman recovered pretty soon, besides the sidelines giving the instructions to his players.
