Both clubs from Manchester didn’t end their games as planned today. Though, we could say that United was happier with their result than City. Meanwhile, Fulham made a miraculous comeback on the wings of fantastic Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Victor Lindelof was the savior of Manchester United today, as he scored the equalizing goal against Burnley in the third minute of the injury time. The final result was 2-2, and this is the first match since Solskjaer sat on the bench in which United didn’t win. Still, a draw after being down 0-2 is considered as a great success, especially after the fantastic finish of the hosts. Paul Pogba scored from a penalty in the 87th minute to cut the deficit. Previously, Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood stunned all the fans at the Old Trafford by beating De Gea twice.

The Red Devils didn’t play as they wanted to, and losing these two points will leave them in the sixth place after Arsenal’s win today.
Manchester City might have suffered a defeat which could be a crucial one in their quest for defending the title. Newcastle United came back from behind, and won 2-1 at Saint James Park, and the Citizens now have 4 points fewer than Liverpool, with one game more. If the Reds defeat Leicester City tomorrow they will get away to seven points which is a significant edge at this stage of the campaign.
Sky-Blues got the lead after some 30 seconds, when Sergio Aguero scored. Everything was indicating another confident and routine contest for the guests, but that wasn’t what happened at Saint James Park. Solomon Rondon equalized in the 66th minute, and Matt Ritchie brought the lead to the hosts ten minutes before the end. Eventually, that was the final result.

Like in almost every good game Fulham played this season, Aleksandar Mitrovic was in the center of attention. The striker from Serbia singlehandedly pushed his Cottagers to a fantastic comeback which nobody expected after first 45 minutes. Fulham was down two goals, but managed to rally back and score four times in the second half, and win against Brighton and Hove Albion, 4-2. Mitrovic opened his show with an assist, after which he netted twice, and had one excellent chance to grab a hat-trick.
These points are vital for Fulham’s relegation battle.
The fans at Emirates Stadium weren’t pleased with the way Arsenal performed today despite their 2-1 win. Unai Emery’s team had many troubles against Cardiff, who was more than direct on several occasions. If their attackers had more nerves, the result could have been entirely different. Still, the hosts broke the lock of Etheridge’s goal twice in the last 25 minutes. First Aubameyang scored from the penalty, and afterward through Lacazette. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing saved the honor of the Welsh team in the third minute of the injury time.

In other games, Wolverhampton demolished West Ham with 3-0, with Raul Jimenez continuing to play good, netting a brace today. Huddersfield Town lost at home to Everton, 0-1. Richarlison scored already in the third minute and set the final result. The Terriers had an extra player on the field for more than 25 minutes, after Digne received a direct red card, but the guests prevailed somehow.
Four more mathces will be played tomorrow. Southampton vs Crystal Palace, Bournemouth vs Chelsea, Tottenham vs Watford, and the above-mentioned Liverpool vs Leicester City.
