Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers head to San Francisco to meet the Golden State Warriors. Dame had an incredible night against the Houston Rockets, scoring 71 points, and he is thirsty for more demolition. His Trail Blazers aren’t in a good position and must create a stretch of positive results to reach the postseason or at least the playoffs. On the other side, the Warriors are finally above .500 and have to improve even better to reach a direct playoff spot.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors Preview
Portland Trail Blazers (29-31, +125) defeated the Houston Rockets at home in the most recent event, 131-114. Damian Lillard had 71 points, delivering another proof of his excellency. Though, Dame and the boys aren’t in a position to celebrate anything because the Trail Blazers might miss the playoffs.
This team opened the year pretty strongly, with a couple of big wins, but as time went by, they deflated, partially due to Dame’s injury but also, because the rivals figured out all of their game plans.
Portland’s games are efficient lately, and five of the past six ended with over. Though, the Trail Blazers are terrible on the road, with just one victory in the recent 12 travels, which is terrible. On top of that, the roster is ravaged, with Nurkic, Simons and Winslow out indefinitely, and it appears that all has to go through Dame.
Golden State Warriors (31-30, -152) have back-to-back triumphs following two losses on the road in LA against the franchises from there. At first, the Warriors were routine against the Rockets, 116-101, and following that event, they would beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It was a very tough meeting for the Dub Nation, who was again without Steph. If it weren’t for a very good final period in which Steve Kerr’s boys beat the rivals 31-17, the T-Wolves would go home with a big win.
Klay Thompson was in the zone with six threes and 32 points, five boards, and four assists, and he is back to the level prior to his injury. Donte DiVincenzo was the second-best scorer with 21 buckets, though he was very aggressive on the rim, collecting eight rebounds, four steals and five assists. Jordan Poole ended the night with 15 buckets and a terrible three-point shooting, 1-for-8.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors Head to Head Games
Both teams have one win each this year, using the home-court edge. The Warriors were better than the Trail Blazers just before the New Year, beating the rivals at the Chase Center, 118-112.
The second game was at the Moda Center in early February, and back then, the Trail Blazers won following a dramatic finish, 125-122.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction
The Warriors will be without several players, that’s for sure, but on the other side, the Trail Blazers are in a much worse situation because their roster isn’t as deep as Golden State’s. We have to say that Dame plays incredibly good, but still, the Trail Blazers are, in general, a one-dimensional crew, easy to read. The Warriors should win this contest because of that and because Portland posts terrible performances away from Moda Center.
Pick: Golden State Warriors win
Here is the preview for the Timberwolves vs. LA Clippers game.
