With the Golden State losing its pace, the situation in the West has become pretty interesting. That is why Denver Nuggets have to keep on winning and keep their rhythm at a high level. Jokic and the crew are playing decent basketball, and when we add that the NBA MVP doesn’t have two of his best teammates available (Murray and MPJ) his achievements are even more valuable. On the other side, the Warriors’ megastars, Klay and Steph are still trying to find the touch, which is why in fact, the entire team struggles.
Preview
Golden State Warriors (44-22, -165) finally won one match, and that was the one against the Clippers two nights ago. The final result of this one was 112-97, and for the first time in a while the Dub Nation looke confident.
Though the reason for that wasn’t in their best players, but those who came off the bench. The rookie Jonathan Kuminga and Jordan Poole were superb. The first scored 21 points and had six boards and assists each, while the other had one bucket fewer, but was ice-cold when needed.
As for Klay and Steph, they had 20 and 15 points respectively, yet with terrible shooting, 14-for-35, and making only three downtown shots in 15 attempts, all this combined. For two of the best shooters in the league, this is appalling. We just want to mention Andrew Wiggins who had 14 points and 11 boards.
Denver Nuggets (40-26, +155) were triumphant in Sacramento, 106-100, and that was their fourth win in a row. The Nuggets are more than good in the past month or so, as they racked 10 victories in 11 games, becoming one of the hottest teams in the NBA.
The reason for all that is Nikola Jokic. The reigning MVP is pretty much unstoppable, and we saw that in Golden One Center, where he scored 38 points with 18 boards and seven dimes. His performances this season are even better than during the previous one, because he has neither Murray nor Porter Jr. next to him.
Monte Morris played a god game in California with 20 points, four boards and four assists, while Aaron Gordon and Bryn Forbes scored 11 points each.
Head to Head Games
The Nuggets are close to sweeping the Warriors in the season series. They are up 3-0 right now and beating the big rivals tonight would be a big deal for the franchise from Colorado. The first two meetings were at Chase Center, 89-86 and 117-116 for the Nuggets, while the latest took place at the Ball Arena a few days ago, and Denver triumphed 131-124.
Prediction
Both teams have played tight and interesting games throughout this year, despite the Nuggets winning in all three events. That’s why we decided to avoid picking the winner or some bets that involve the spread but want to take Over points. The line is currently at 220.5, with a tendency to go up, so react fast. The most recent clash was more than 30 points above that line, and we believe that the same is about to happen tonight in Denver.
Pick: Over 220.5 points
Here is the preview for the Nets vs 76ers game
