New England Revolution has plenty of problems with injured and absent players, and the game against Atlanta United will be a massive challenge for Bruce Arena’s crew. These two units are in the playoff zone, the Revs holding the third spot in the Eastern Conference and the United sitting fifth with two points separating them. In general, they both play solid football, not having too many oscillations. As stated, the Revs have certain problems with absent players, while on the other side, United is clean when talking about that matter.
Preview
New England Revolution (-110) stopped their defeatless streak in New York last weekend, being defeated 2-1 by the Red Bulls. It was the first loss for Arena’s squad since May 20, and a harsh experience in Philly vs. Union, 3-0.
In between, the Revs won three events and had four draws, though posting those three victories in a row at home, netting twice in each of them. That happened between June 6 and 24, and prior to the loss in New York, the Revs played in Cincinnati, where they took one point from FC, 2-2.
This unit both scores and allows goals, with six of the previous seven ending like that. In terms of efficiency, almost every match New England had since May was with three or more scores – nine out of ten.
Atlanta United (+300) is doing a good job this year. After a period in which they haven’t been that confident winning eight points in seven events, United would notch back-to-back victories, both with clean sheets. At first, the team from Georgia beat Philadelphia Union at home, 2-0, and after that, Montreal on the road, 0-1.
The latter contest might be the most important for Five Stripes this year, as it not only stopped a negative streak on the road that saw them failing to win in nine consecutive outings but also, put them back in the middle of the playoff zone.
Atlanta’s games on the road are either very efficient or they see one or no goals. Three of the previous four had under 2.5 scores, yet prior to that span, five in six ended over that line.

Head to Head Games
The fans saw fireworks in the previous meeting, with Atlanta and the Revolution scoring three goals each in a draw at the Mercedez-Benz Stadium. Four of the past five encounters these two clubs had ended with at least three hits on both sides.
Prediction
New England is very confident at home, frequently scoring two or more goals. Yes, they do concede, but the attack covers that up. Atlanta has a nice momentum and is without pressure, which could lead to them playing competitive football and not closing down. The best pick here, in our opinion, would be the hosts to score at least two goals.
Pick: New England Revs Over 1.5 goals -125
