The Los Angeles Lakers have demolished Washington Wizards tonight at the Staples Center. The final result of this one0sided beating was 125-103.
The guests opened this game with nine consecutive points, and that was a little bit scary for the home team fans. However, purple and gold seized the control of the match, furiously hammering the rival over the next few minutes, creating a 17-0 series in the late part of the period. Frank Vogel’s side dropped 37 points in the opening 12 minutes while allowing 23.

“We were turning the ball over early. I don’t think that our defense was bad as we thought it was,” said JaVale McGee. “but we turned it over, we picked it up and got right where we used to – playing great defense and getting out on the break and playing great offense.”
Their high-scoring offense continued to pound in the same manner throughout the second and the third quarter, scoring 32 and 35 points, respectively. Although the Wizards might not be the team that could present some serious challenge for the Lakers, it needs to be said that the hosts’ offense was at the highest possible level. Vogel didn’t want for anyone to diminish the success of his side, saying that every win counts in this league.
“Every win matters this time of year,” Lakers coach stated.
Besides, usually excellent Antony Davis and LeBron James, other players stepped up also, and posted superb performances. McGee had 15 points and 11 boards, Quinn Cook added 17 points, and Rajon Rondo 11.
The Lakers shot 51.7 % from the floor, 45 for 87, having hit 14 threes in 32 tries. Meanwhile, the Wizards had 40% from the floor, 38 for 96, and 10 for 37 behind the arc, 27.8%.
Vogel used all of his players tonight, and they all played at least 11 minutes. Troy Daniel was the only one who couldn’t score.
Among the guests, Bradley Beal dropped 18 points, for a team-high. The Wizards’ leader was 5 for 13 from the field, and had 9 assists. The rookie Rui Hachimura had 16 buckets and 8 boards. Ish Smith added 13 off the bench.
LeBron and AD finished their participation in this one already in the third period. King scored 23 points with 11 assists, while Davis added 26 and 13 boards with 3 blocks. At one point the Lakers had a 37-point lead, their highest of the season.

The purple and gold will finish November with 14 wins and a single loss, posting their best record for one month since the year 2000. Also, this generation became only the ninth in the franchise history with 14 or more wins during the same period. The last time this unit lost was on November 10 against the Toronto Raptors.
Lakers (17-2) lead the league at the moment, and are the most dominant team in the league. They will meet Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavs this Sunday at Staples, and after that head on a challenging tour. LeBron and the guys will visit Denver on Tuesday, Utah on Wednesday, and the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Wizards (6-11) are struggling. Their win over the Phoenix Suns in Arizona was the only bright spot on their road-trip through the Western Conference. They have one more stop before coming back home. That will also be in LA, against the Clippers this Sunday. Doc Rivers’ team lost tonight in San Antonio, and will be looking to bounce back quickly.
