Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were officially introduced today as the future leaders of the Los Angeles Clippers. The two guys who shook the entire NBA and changed the landscape of the league had their first media session as the members of the less famous franchise from the LA.
The press conference was opened with an extravagant speech of the Clippers’ owner Steve Ballmer who hijacked the attention from PG’s and Leonard’s appearance. Though, Ballmer was really happy, and how couldn’t be, as he got two of the Top 10 players in the league, one of them the reigning champion.
“We are here for one reason,” Ballmer said, “we want to win it all. There’s only one reason.”
The Clippers emerged as the biggest favorites for winning the title after these two guys landed, and Ballmer’s words are picturing what the current mindset in the franchise is.

Both PG and Kawhi are from LA, and it was their dream to come back home and play in front of their own crowd. George even said that as a kid he loved the Clippers, not the Lakers, despite the difference in their history and trophies.3
“I grew up a Clippers fan. I loved the Clippers as a kid.”
PG also said that everything that happened before, them being from LA, Kawhi being drafted with Indiana’s pick, all that was a prof that these two guys simply had to play together at one point.
“It’s great to fast forward to where we’re at now, we’re both in L.A., it just seems like this was destined,” George said. “We were supposed to play together.”

During their speeches, both players wanted to thank their previous organizations. George started his press conference talk with that and Kawhi did the same thing. It was a nice gesture from both guys, who didn’t have a bad ending with the former teams like some other athletes who changed their destinations this summer.
In general, the harmony was all over the place this Wednesday. The players were looking really happy and pumped up for reaching this situation. Everybody could notice that this isn’t just a plain job for the, but more of a mission and that emotions had a huge role in reaching up to this point.
The Claw is convinced that the Clippers have everything they need to win a championship, starting with the players, the coaching staff and the excellent management on top with Steve Ballmer as an owner.
“I think we got something special and we can make history here..” Leonard said. “We got the right team to do it with Steve, Lawrence, and Doc, a championship coach. … I’m ready to go.”
"I don't have social media so I'm not able to put out a paragraph or whatever."

Right now the Clippers (+350) are the No.1 favorite according to the majority of bookies to win the NBA title in 2020 season. Their city rivals the Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks are next with +500, while Houston Rockets sit fourth +800. It is going to be very exciting to see the battles in the Western Conference during the regular part of the campaign, and especially in the playoffs.
Meetings between the Clippers and the Lakers are already threatening to break all the earlier TV ratings, and to set new standards when talking about the number of viewers and everything which concerns with marketing.
All that is irrelevant for the Clippers who are craving for a title. As Ballmer already said, there is only one thing which matters to them. The franchise was established in Buffalo back in 1970, then moved to San Diego in 1978 and changed the name from Braves to Clippers. In 1984 they landed in LA and were mostly known as the weakest team in the NBA.
But that changed now. Radically.
