The Golden State Warriors defeated Philadelphia 76ers last night, snapping a two-game losing streak, and reminding everybody that they still rule this game.
The result 120-117 was mostly because of Steph Curry, who took the responsibility when needed the most and played alone against the Sixers, who couldn’t stop him.
The two-time MVP scored nine of GSW’s last 12 points and was calm in the moments when the game was on the line.
“He’s done it a million times, so there would be nothing new coming from me tonight about Stpeh.” Steve Kerr told to one reporter after the match.
At first, Curry hit a three-pointer to lift his Warriors to 111-109. After Philly tied that, he scored all the points in a 6-0 mini-run, which decided the match at Wells Fargo Center. The especially big one was with 38.2 seconds to go, when he went all the way for a layup with JJ Redick guarding him.
The Warriors were 14 points behind at the early stage of the third quarter, and their comeback was simply fantastic. The champs scored 16 unanswered points, but the surge stopped once Curry left the game because of the foul trouble. Warriors’ guard had to sit for more than 8 minutes left in that sequence. His teammates did an excellent job with keeping GSW in the game, but couldn’t make a final push.

That is something he does.
“He’s still underrated,” told Andre Iguodala right after the game. “I think he doesn’t really get the respect he deserves.”
Iguodala mentioned all the stories about Curry’s defense, saying that all of them are labeling him as a weak spot in Warriors’ lineup, or the fact that he uses a lot of screens to make his shooting positions. According to the 35-year old veteran, all these aren’t true, and Curry is one of the best ever.
“He’s the second-best point guard ever — you argue that,” Iguodala stated.
When he was later asked who is the no.1, the former 76ers answered without think – Magic Johnson.
Whether is he second-best or not there is one thing which needs to be acknowledged, and that is the fact that Curry changed the game like a few before have. His style of play is now widely copied, and that was Draymond Green spoke about.
The strong forward called all the reporters to go visit a high school game and see for themselves how Curry influenced the game. Green also said that he now understands the former Warriors’ coach Mark Jackson who said ‘that Steph ruins the game,’ unlike at the time when most of his teammates and himself were pretty mad at Jackson.
“Have you been to a high school game or a middle school game. Mark Jackson said a few years ago, ‘Steph is ruining the game of basketball.’ We all was pissed off like, ‘What, what is he talking about?”
What Green wanted to say was the fact that a lot of youngsters look up to Curry, and they are trying to copy his style of play, making long-distance shots, trying to focus their game on mostly scoring and then creating plays, etc. All of this, is because of his teammate.

“He’s not talking about Steph per se that’s ruining basketball, but he’s making a lot of other people think they can do what he does. ” Draymond concluded.
And what does the main character of this text thinks about all this? Well, he used this situation to make a few laughs and relax the atmosphere with the reporters, saying that he receives text messages from Iguodala every single morning saying that he is No.2 point guard.
Curry ‘s response to Iguodala’s remark that he is underrated is that all the fans could visit his tour at the moment, and see for themselves.
“Check out the tour. They’re in Philly today and tomorrow. I’m trying to share that with the world for sure. Underratedtour.com.”
He didn’t want to speak about the legacy behind him. One of the best if not the best shooter of all times, was is focused on the future, and at the moment he doesn’t care about the voices coming from various sources. He’s playing his game, and has nothing to prove to anybody, but himself.
“I’ve set the bar really high, for myself, and I try to live up to it,” Steph commented.
The next match of his “Underratedtour.com” is this Tuesday in Boston.
