Dak Prescot was a bit stunned when he received news on the recent trash-talk fired at him and his teammates by the Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill. He did hear it, but he wasn’t quite sure who told that.
In fact, it appeared that the Dallas QB didn’t know how Grugier-Hill is.
“Who?” the 2016 Offensive Rookie of the Year asked, when some of the reporters who were there told him about the recent call out.
Then he hit back at Grugier-Hill, and possibly, all the Eagles’ team.
“You know, coach (Jason) Garrett has a great saying and I don’t know where he got it from,” Prescott told. “ ‘Winners worry about winning and losers worry about winners.”

Nobody knows whether this observation applies to only one guy or on the whole bunch of them in the Eagles’ uniforms, but anyway, it won’t relax the situation before Sunday’s NFC East spectacle.
Still, it seems that Prescott couldn’t care less whether his answer offended any of his opponents. His and Cowboys’ focus is solely on themselves.
“We’re focused on ourselves in this locker room and what we need to do to get better in each and every phase of this game to be ready for this week.” Dallas QB told and continued. “We’re not going to worry about he said-she said”
The tension was already high even before these interviews, as this contest means a lot for both sides. The Cowboys have 7-5 and are topping the NFC East. If they win this one, they will have two victories more than the Eagles, who are entering this match with the record of 6-6.
For the champions, the game at AT&T Stadium is the most important one since the start of the season. If they lose, the playoffs will be tough to reach. That is why they try to gain some kind of mental edge over their opponents. But the 25-year old knows that, and he doesn’t want to pay too much attention to the Eagles’ mind games.
“That’s the reason they talk trash,” Prescott said. “It brings clout, it brings attention. And if that’s what they want, good for them.”
The rise of the Cowboys began four weeks ago against Philadelphia when they defeated them at the Lincoln Financial Field with 27-20. That event marked a start of a four-game winning streak, which launched Dallas back to the top, and put them on the playoff picture.
The victory boosted the morale of the players, who just needed a little push, as they already felt that they worth much more than 3-5 at that moment.
“Honestly we have been the same team,” Prescott said. “We knew the team that we had in some of the games that we lost. And it was just about making those few plays here and there. I just think sitting here at 7-5 now four games later, we have been able to make those plays.”
When talking about the upcoming game, Prescott analyzed his problems with sacking. At the moment, he leads the NFL in this negative category, with 45 of them. In the latest match against the New Orleans Saints, he’s been brought down seven-times, which is a season-high for him. Prescott didn’t want to point fingers at anyone, but instead said that his sacks are a product of the whole team, him first, and then all the others.
Despite the fact that Saints loss to the Cowboys, let's not forget Cam Jordan was held up by La'el Collins & made a strip sack on Dak Prescott as Saints defense recovered the fumble. What an ABSOLUTE BEAST!!!! 🙌🏻🔥🔥 @camjordan94 ➡️ #ProBowlVote🗳 #NOvsDAL pic.twitter.com/53CohRXZEp

“It starts with me, but it’s a collective effort, from receivers getting open, getting separation, to the offensive line maybe holding up just a little bit longer for me, or me just getting the ball out and throwing it away, or getting it to the back or whatever we got to do,”
In the end, Dallas No.4 sent a clear message to the Eagles regarding their pre-game statements.
“Talk is cheap.”
