The big derby of German football hits the schedule this Saturday, as Bayern Munich hosts RB Leipzig. This is the meeting between two big rivals who have a very deep business connection. Even though the Bulls pretend to be title contenders, they often sell players to Bayern. And not just the players but the head coach as well – Julian Nagelsmann, for example. We don’t know whether RB had any other options in this case, but nevertheless, just a few guys who became world-class players in RB didn’t end up in Munich.
Preview
Bayern Munich (-400) lost only one game in the last ten, all others ended with confident victories. The Bavarians are on their way towards another Bundesliga title, their 31st. While doing so, this unit provided one of the most dominant half-season ever, scoring 65 goals in 20 events.
However, there is one interesting data. Bayern isn’t the most successful team at home at the moment because they have eight wins and two losses, behind Dortmund, who is 9-0-1. Defeats to Eintracht and Monchengladbach were the reason for this anomaly.
With 23 goals, Robert Lewandowski confidently leads the way in the goalscorer race. The Pole and the best player in the world over the past two years is unstoppable, and in combination with the veteran forward, Thomas Muller, he is deadly for any defense in Europe.
RB Leipzig (+500) is inconsistent this season. We’ve seen some unreasonable defeats or draws, and to be honest, the Bulls are one of the toughest teams for betting in 2021/22. One week they score three goals, the next, we see them struggling to get the ball to the rival’s half.
Before the pause, RB finally had some decent consistency, winning four in a row, allowing just one goal, while on the other side, scoring at least two in each event. The goal difference during that period was 10-1.
What worries their fans are mediocre results away from Leipzig – just three wins in the previous 10 outings, with four draws and three defeats. Even though they didn’t experience some big and painful losses, this will be the toughest test so far.

Head to Head Games
Bayern was ruthless in Leipzig in the first meeting this year, 1-4. Four different players scored for the guests, Lewandowski, Musiala, Sane, and Choupo-Moting. Laimer was the one who netted for the Bulls.
By the way, Bayern didn’t lose in the past nine events against this rival. Yet the last two at Allianz Arena were both draws, 3-3 and 0-0.
Prediction
Bayern is a machine, and they are at least one level above all teams in Bundesliga. That is the case against RB as well, even though the Bulls are in the UEFA Champions League. The Bavarians will post a routine win, at least by a two-goal margin, and anything else here would surprise us.
Pick: Bayern -1.5 -110
