ELEAGUE announces its first tournament in 2019. This event, which has a prize pool of 150 thousand dollars will be the first in 2019 and will take place in ELEAGUE’s Atlanta studios on 25-27 January.
We will see BIG, Cloud9, FaZe, and compLexity Gaming in ELEAGUE CS: GO Invitational 2019. All matches will be played in the best of three series while last two days of this event will be opened to viewers. In Atlanta, CS: GO enthusiasts will be able to live this excitement at the ELEAGUE Studios.
The reason for picking up this match is due to the odds it will be offering at different bookmakers. Moreover, it will be the first competitive game of the Turkish No.1 player for BIg while a CS: GO veteran return to the pro scene after a year by playing for compLexity Gaming. It will be an exciting practice to see who will come out on top.
BIG
The best German team, BIG, decided after a year with ups and downs for a change in the lineup. In the future, the Turkish star player Can ‘ XANTARES ‘ Dörtkardeş will play for BIG. Johannes ‘ nex ‘ Maget sits temporarily on the bench for this because he has to undergo treatment on the wrist.
XANTARES Deserves the Spotlight
Can ‘ XANTARES ‘ Dörtkardeş is considered the best player from the Turkish counter-strike scene and played for a long time with the organization Space Soldiers. Most recently, the Turkish players parted from the organization. Can ‘ XANTARES ‘ Dörtkardeş was therefore not bound by contract, BIG did not have to pay a transfer fee. Among the biggest successes for the former Space Soldiers lineup were participation in both major events, the second place of WESG 2017 (March 2018), and the victory of the DreamHack Austin 2018.
Xantarest probably won’t have to introduce himself to anyone. He is an amazingly talented and quite hard-working player. It has been revealed the players spend an average 4 hours each day on DM servers. This statistic is impressive since he also plays with the team for 4-8 hours. This is absolutely visible in its performance. He has an HLTV rating of 1.25 in the last 3 months. “Wow!” – man would think, but it is much more than that. It strengthens his team in the role of entry fragger, which is one of the most devastating roles statistically. It is amazing stats in itself, 1.25, but in this position and level, we think this is quite an impressive stat compared to other entry fraggers in the competitive world.
31-year-old Captain
Xantrares will be led by another Turkish veteran gob b – the legendary Turkish player in Counter-Strike 1.6. Fatih spent most of his gaming career on the mousesports team, with which he won numerous German and international titles. After leaving the scene, Counter-Strike 1.6 gob b ended his career. In 2013, he decided to return to one tournament (EPS Spring 2013 for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive), where he managed to take 3rd place with the same mousesports team. He parted way with mousesports and went on to play for EX-Method and NRG Esports. However, the true success of the player came when he signed for BIG in 2017. With the team, he has won a respectable number of minor titles. The most prized achievement is the 2nd place finish at ESL One: Cologne 2018. He is 31 years of age and he believes age has nothing to do with how you play the game.
With go b and Xantrares, BIG will be looking to make a big impact in the upcoming competition. BIG had a decent 2018, which included winning the ESEA Season 27: Global Challenge. However, with the signing arguably the best Turkish player in the world, they will be looking to start the year on a high in the ELEAGUE.
CompLexity Gaming
On 29th December, the American organization announced the signing of Ricky “Rickeh” Mulholland and Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert while Rickeh joins the team as a starter, n0thing will serve as a substitute. The signing of both players took place after the departure of Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor and Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker from compLexity Gaming. At the same time, the organization did not renew the agreement between Ronald “Rambo” Kim and the coach no longer continues under the name of compLexity Gaming.
N0thing returns
n0thing competed as a pro player in CS: GO between 2012 and 2017, having gone through compLexity Gaming and becoming known for his Cloud9 campaign in 2014. He moved away from the competitive in August 2017 and became an analyst. However, this did not stop him from to play championships. The last and only return of the American to the scene as a player was during ESL One Belo Horizonte, where he played as a substitute for mousesports.
Rickeh joining the squad
Rickeh joins the lineup directly from Rogue where the player has not played since mid-November after having Visa’s problems. He started his career by playing for Team Immunity. In 2015, the team made its way to the LAN-finals of the FACEIT league 2015, beating Vox Eminor. In July 2016, he moved to Renegades, and in March 2017 he signed a contract with CLG. After CLG he signed for Rogue. However, he is not much of a big name since he has failed to win a competitive title so far.
CompLexity needs a miracle
CompLexity will be looking to make a decent run in 2019 since, in 2018, the only title they lifted was the Americas Minor Championship – London 2018. But against BIG we don’t believe that they will get a winning start. Since in their first competition of 2019, iBUYPOWER Masters IV this line-up failed to win a single game and was eliminated in the group stage. Therefore, against a team like BIG, that has made some exciting plays against bigs names of the competitive landscapes, it is highly unlikely that the side will get a win.
Final Verdict
BIG Victory
