The OBJ move from the New York Giant to Cleveland Browns caused an earthquake around the United States.
One of the most controversial, and also the on of the best wide receivers in the league, will form a lethal duo with his college teammate and close friend Jarvis Landry.
And these two will have one of the most talented QBs in the league to play with. Baker Mayfield already proved his worth, and despite being a sophomore now, the expectations from this guy are huge.
The reporters caught him with the Milwaukee Brewers in Phoenix, taking some swings at the spring training camp.
He and Christian Yelich Brewers’ outfielder are old friends, and the Brown’s QB was his guests.
But the media representatives didn’t want to talk about baseball. Their focus was on the upcoming NFL season, mainly Mayfield’s impressions with Odell’s arrival in Ohio.
“It will be exciting. Two LSU Tigers thrown to, and obviously, we have a lot more talent too,” the quarterback said.

When one of the reporters stated that Cleveland’s locker room is going to get different and unusual personalities with these two guys, the youngster said that he feels cool about it because he has certain similarities with Odell and Landry.
According to his words, all the extravagance will not matter as long as they execute their assignments on the court.
“You could say the same thing about me; you don’t want to tame it,” Mayfield commented. “You just let them be themselves and make plays. That’s who they are, and when it comes down to it, the guys in that locker room, you’re going to love playing with them.”
Mayfield emphasized the fact that most of the people often challenge Beckham’s attitude, but that he doesn’t care about that. He knows that OBJ is always there to offer support to his teammates, which is the most important thing.
“I know exactly who OBJ is inside the locker room and who he is to his teammates,” he said. “That’s the most important thing. People can have their attitudes and perspective on it, but he’s himself, and he also has his teammates’ back.”
The Browns have a fantastic team at the moment. Their offense could be one of the most lethal in the league. The arrival of the above-mentioned wide receiver, along with Kareem Hunt’s signature will make this team a big-time playoff contender.
Even though Hunt has to sit the first eight games because of a penalty given by the league, Cleveland is still looking strong. That’s because of Nick Chubb, who will take care of the ground game while Hunt is out.
Besides Landry and OBJ, the Browns have Antonio Callaway as another young and perspective catcher. David Njoku is an excellent solution for the tight end position.
The defense is not bad either, despite the fact that most of the fans only notice the offensive team, especially after Beckham’s arrival.
The No.4 pick from the last year’s draft CB Denzel Ward already established himself as one of the best in the league in his position. DE Myles Garrett and DT Larry Ogunjobi are well-known names throughout the NFL, and the rise of Christian Kirksey during the previous season made this team even more competitive.
But do know, that the free agency just started, and that a ton of players are still searching for a new environment.
Baker Mayfield is aware of the fact that he now leads one of the most gifted teams in the league, and that he needs to be the guy who will evolve them from a “talented team,” to a “contender.”
The expectations are high, and he knows that too. After the last season’s improvement, when they reached 7 wins, by playing equally against the best teams in the league, Brown’s fans are expecting for this crew to go to the next level now.
“It’s an exciting time in Cleveland, absolutely,” Mayfield said. “The fans there, after having a decent year, nothing that we were too happy about [7-8-1], were unbelievably satisfied. But now, I can’t even imagine.”
The euphoria in Ohio is yet to reach its peak. After Cavaliers’ collapse, the city of Cleveland was in despair. But now they might have found some new heroes.
And they just could be the ones who will make Cleveland great again.
