AFC West is one hell of a division, possibly the toughest in the NFL. It wouldn’t be odd to see all four teams in the playoffs, and to be a bit cheeky, it wouldn’t be strange at all that one of these units goes all the way and wins the Super Bowl.
Denver Broncos
The team from Mile High is a legit Super Bowl contender after landing the former NFL MVP, Russell Wilson. “DangeRuss” will have a huge help in the head coach Nathaniel Hackett, who was the offensive coordinator in Green Bay, and these two guys indicate that the Broncos will have a flamboyant attack. We get the picture when we mention all the receivers – Jeudy, Patrick, Sutton, etc.
Denver will have a powerful weapon in strong and robust defense and their hostile environment at Mile High. When mentioning the defense, Randy Gregory signed for the Broncos, but we are more intrigued with the rookie LB, Nik Bonito, a second-rounder at the recent draft.
Kansas City Chiefs
This is the year when the Chiefs must show character and an ability to adapt to new circumstances. Tyreek Hill is gone, which changes the philosophy of the entire system in the attack. Schuster-Smith and Marquez Valdes-Scantling landed at the Arrowhead, but they aren’t the types of players like Cheetah.
Also, the defense had a lot of changes, with Melvin Ingram’s departure being the biggest and the most painful for Andy Reid. Also, Tyrann Mathieu is out too. Still, the team has Mahomes, who is among the top three players in the league, and who has all the characteristics of a Hall of Famer, therefore, the Chiefs are the SB contenders too.
Las Vegas Raiders
Davante Adams came to Nevada, and with him onboard, Derek Carr has arguably the best receiving corps in the league. Hunter Renfrow, Demarcus Robinson, and superb Darren Waller are down the field, making the Raiders’ attack super dangerous. Josh Jacobs needs to prove himself with one 1,000+ rushing yards year, and that would be it.
On the other side, Maxx Crosby stayed, and that was the most important thing for the defense. Though, signing Chandler Jones is a massive plus, making this team one of the best on the edge positions. If the Raiders click early on, especially on the Carr-Adams connection, they can go all the way. Gunslinger, like Carr, is a perfect fit for one of the best deep threats in the league.
LA Chargers
We personally believe that the Chargers are the top favorite for the Super Bowl this year because they have everything needed to win the Vince Lombardi trophy. Their QB is elite, they got fantastic additions on the defensive side, like Khalil Mack and Kyle Van Noy, and especially JC Jackson.
With all the talent this team already had, LAC became a contender in every possible way. Their offense is an elite one, with Herbert in charge, and he has numerous options on how to deliver points, starting with a solid run game and extremely diversified receiving threats.
