The AFC East is one pretty enigmatic assembly. Personally, we think that this division will be much more interesting than many predict, especially with the Dolphins signing Tyreek Hill. Stay with us and see a short preview of the AFC East.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills have been so close to the Super Bowl in the past two years, but somehow, they would stop in the playoffs against the Chiefs. Their defense has been the No.1 in allowed total yards, pass yards, points and first downs, but that wasn’t enough for them to beat Mahomes and the boys.
That’s why they signed Von Miller, who is a generational talent, and one of the best linebackers in history. WRs Beasley and Sanders are out, but they got Isaiah McKenzie and two new RBs in the house, Zack Moss and Devin Singletary, with Duke Johnson and the rookie James Cook. It seems that the Bills would be a grinding team this year who will use rushing to break the rivals.
Of course, we don’t want to forget Josh Allen, the top favorite for the NFL MVP award this year. He needs to adjust to the fact that his OC, Brian Daboll, left and now has to work with Ken Dorsey.
Miami Dolphins
Tyreek Hill is in Miami. That changed this team’s entire football philosophy and opened different possibilities for Tua Tagovailoa. Though, his arrival cast a shadow over a few extremely important news. Miami’s backfield is loaded with quality, as Sony Michel, Chase Edmonds, and Raheem Mostert all signed for the Fins. So we can say that this team has a highly balanced offense with massive potential.
Tua already has a solid connection with Jalen Waddle, who had a fantastic rookie season, and imagine how great of a potential with Hill this team has.
As for the defense, CB Xavien Howard stayed, which is a big deal. In the meantime, LB Melvin Ingram came to Florida, and he will be a very useful addition not only on the field but in the locker room, which could be a mentor for the Fins’ young stars, like Hilland, Phillips, and Wilkins.
New England Patriots
We saw Mac Jones last year, and how this guy made massive progress with each game he played. Though, for many, the Pats didn’t do their homework during the free agency. How’s that?
Well, we believe the Pats have just enough weapons for Jones in the offense, regardless of what many think. Jones doesn’t need superstars around him right now, but players who will grow with him. On the other side, the defense didn’t get any fresh blood. But this is Bill Belichick’s decision, and we simply can’t argue with that.
Overall, the Pats showed progress last season, and we expect them to continue pushing hard, and even attack the playoffs.
New York Jets
Except for the first-round CB Sauce Gardner, Robert Saleh didn’t get any superb names on the defensive side. The defense remains a top priority for the management and Saleh, who simply have to do something otherwise, the Jets are ahead of another tough and frustrating campaign.
Zach Wilson remains the only hope this team can move away from the bottom of the NFL, yet, he doesn’t have any protection at the moment, with lots of problems in the Jets’ offensive line. For the moment, we don’t believe that they can win more than three games.
