The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t keen on slowing down, and today’s win against the Baltimore Ravens is the best possible proof for that. Patrick Mahomes and his crew defeated fired-up guests led by Lamar Jackson with 33-28.
Ravens were down 30-13 at the start of the fourth, but had a late push, as they won the last period with 15-3. If the game lasted for another few minutes, it might have been messy for the Chiefs, who did lose their breath in the late part of the event. But they fond a way out, managing to convert a third down for 9 yards with 1:05 before the end. If by any chance Chiefs failed to make that, Jackson would have a chance to make a massive upset at the Arrowhead Stadium. Though, the leader of the second-best offense in the league wasn’t looking that convincing on the field.
Jackson didn’t have a TD pass, wasn’t very agile when it comes to running, and his passing percentages were low too. He recorded 267 yards and suffered three sacks for 18 yards. On the other hand in 8 rushes LJ posted 46 yards, with one TD carry.
“Me, I got to do a better job executing,” said Jackson at the press conference. “You know that’s my job on the field, in general, is for me — my receivers to get open and have great balls.”
Whether is that because of bad weather in Kansas City, and all the rain and the slippery conditions, Jackson did have a hard time reaching out for the best possible solutions, especially when he threw the ball.
The one who didn’t have any troubles to execute in today’s match was Mark Ingram. The prolific running back had three touchdowns and rushed for 103 yards.
Meanwhile, the MVP and the leaders of the best defense in the league, Mahomes, threw for three TDs and 374 yards. He completed 27 of 37 passing attempts and was in the mood for another good game.
“We prepare ourselves each and every week to be on the same page. Whenever coach Bieneimy is calling the plays I want to make sure, why is he calling the play, not just spin the play out,” Mahomes tried to explain to the reporters how he creates chemistry between him and the rest of the team and the coaches.
The MVP targeted Mecole Harman twice for 97 yards. Hardman, The rookie had an 83-yard TD with 3 minutes left in the second period. Travis Kecle had 89 yards on 7 receptions.

Andy Reid was very happy with the way his team stopped Ravens once they went all in. There was one-fourth down stop, and two two-point conversions also prevented.
“I was proud of our guys, and particularly the defense for bearing down in the tough times. fourth-down calls, two-point plays, those ended up being big for us,” said Reid and praised the Ravens. “That’s a good football team there.”
The Ravens had more plays 78-64, but fewer yards in total, 452 compared to 503 of the Chiefs. Interestingly, neither side had a single turnover.
Coming up, Baltimore will have a tough division match against the Cleveland Browns next week at home. The Browns look highly unstable, but their offensive potential could easily burst at one point, which means that they can’t be underestimated.
On the other side, the Chiefs travel to Michigan to play ve Lions. Detroit made a big surprise by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles on the road today, 27-24, and they will be looking to use that swing and post three wins in a row.
